Since 2010, we've been empowering youth and young adults with special needs through impactful, meaningful equine connections in a ranch setting.

The ranch becomes a learning landscape. Using a hands-on, horse-based approach, ELSA serves its participants with  carefully tailored connections to horses and horse handling. There is no riding involved but rather an emphasis on connections, rather than control. 

Our programs are inspired by the methodologies of the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (www.eagala.org), natural horsemanship techniques and natural herd behavior.

Why horses?

The horse is a multi-sensory partner who enables the participant to integrate physically and emotionally. Bonding between horse and human can facilitate both relaxation and excitement that helps self-awareness, confidence, communication and learning.
